Attendees to complete the E-Learning module. Access details will be forwarded to candidates when application received.

Aims & Objectives of the Taught Course

Having gained insight from the e-learning module, this workshop will enable staff to understand how they can contribute to ensuring that the Council provides a fair and equal service to both external and internal service users.

By the end of the course, staff will be able to:

* Explain how discrimination can arise in their team and delivery of services.
* Identify the diversity/equality needs of their service users.
* Identify how diversity/equality issues can impact on their delivery of services and customer care practice.
* Identify ways to challenge and eliminate discrimination in their delivery of services and customer care practice.
* Promote diversity/equality good practice in their team and in the delivery of services.
* Action plan to ensure that their services meet the needs of their service users
